The Chat request card details feature complements but does not replace your booking engine. It is designed to make customers’ lives even easier as they move through the booking funnel. If the customer is speaking to an Agent via Chat, the request card details service will now allow them to save time by leaving credit card information securely, just as they would via the telephone.

Of course the preferred option for guests when booking will continue to be self service via the website booking engine. This new feature is designed to transfer credit card information securely and easily for those guests who need a little extra assistance in the moment. We don’t expect it to replace normal conversions through the booking engine at all.
