This guide will explain how to send Triptease automated Cart abandonment emails to guests who started the checkout process but didn’t complete it.

To get started, simply click ‘Email’ in the ‘Audience intelligence’ dropdown menu. From there, you can set your Cart abandonment email campaign live.

Good to know:

Currently we integrate with four booking engines: Synxis, Travelclick, SHR and Siteminder. If you would like to see your booking engine added, please register your interest by clicking ‘Register interest’.

You will need to complete four steps before setting the campaign live:

Step 1: How you will collect emails

Complying with GDPR laws, Triptease automatically captures email addresses after a customer has expressed legitimate interest in booking at your hotel. In other words, Triptease will only capture guest email addresses if they have explicitly entered their email address on the checkout page.

For this section, all you need to do is confirm you are happy with this email collection method.

Step 2: Choose contact strategy

During the beta period you can only choose Triptease automated emails.

Step 3: Initial email set-up

Within two hours after a guest has abandoned the checkout page, they will receive one email inviting them to complete their reservation.

This section allows you to customize the initial email template with your hotel branding colors and custom image upload.

Step 4: Follow-up email set-up

Triptease will send a follow-up email 24 hours after the first email if the guest hasn’t already booked.

Similarly to the first email set-up, you will be able to customize the email template with your branding.

Step 5: Send a test email

To make sure you are happy with the design, you can send a test email to yourself or another person.
