Working with Templates in the Triptease Messages Platform

Learn to create, customize, and reuse message templates to build effective campaigns in Triptease Messages.

When to Use It

Start with a template any time you're creating a new message in the Triptease Messages Platform. It's especially helpful when:

  • You're launching a campaign (e.g. Flash Sale, Loyalty Perks)

  • You need design inspiration

  • You want a faster way to set up beautiful messages


How Templates Work

Templates are pre-built message layouts designed by Triptease. They come with:

  • Default content blocks (e.g. text, OTA price comparison, CTA)

  • Pre-set styles (e.g. layout, color, padding)

  • Pre-set trigger and targeting conditions

  • Responsive designs for mobile, desktop or both

Each template is fully editable. You can:

  • Add/remove blocks

  • Change text, colors, images

  • Reorganize layout with drag-and-drop

Important: In the previous version of Messages, you had fixed message types (like Nudge, Inline, and Full Screen). In the new platform, there are no predefined message types. Instead, every message starts from a flexible template that you can customize completely—you decide the layout, content, and design


Template Library

Templates are accessed via the Template Library. It contains a wide variety of template options for different message types and goals, and we're adding more all the time.

Templates are grouped into convenient categories like "Price Check" and "Offers & discounts".

You can also filter by device type (some are designed specifically for mobile or desktop, others include layouts for both) and orientation to make it easier to find what you need.

Finally, a search bar is available if you know the name of the template you want to use.

Tip:

All messages start from a template. If you prefer to design a message from scratch, simply remove all sections and blocks after selecting a template—this gives you a blank layout while still keeping the pre-configured container settings.


Template Details

Each template comes with pre-set trigger and targeting conditions to save you time. These are based on commonly used configurations.

To see the details of each template, simply select the "More details" dropdown.

All trigger and targeting conditions can be changed or refined after you've finalised your template design.

Triptease plans to release the ability for users to:

  • Save a customized message as a reusable template

  • Access saved templates in the builder

  • Speed up multi-campaign setup for repeat designs

  • Choose a layout that matches your goal (e.g., urgency = countdown timer, promo = big CTA)

  • Want to show multiple messages in one theme? Use the same template style across your campaign

  • Need brand consistency? Use your brand colors, logo, and fonts in each template


FAQs / Troubleshooting

Question: Can I build my own template from scratch?

Answer: Not yet, but you can remove all blocks from an existing template and fully customize it.

Q: Can I reuse a message layout across campaigns?

A: Not at launch. Saved templates are coming soon.

Q: Are templates mobile responsive?

A: Yes. Each template comes with both desktop and mobile variants. You can customize them separately.
