Overview
Triptease Messages let you place personalized content exactly where it matters, whether your guests are browsing on desktop or mobile. This guide walks you through the setup process for both devices using the placement selection tool in Creative Builder.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Create your message
Go to Campaign Manager and start a new campaign.
Choose an inline message template and open it in Creative Builder.
2. Select the message placement
Click on the Settings tab.
Choose Reposition message to open the placement selector tool.
Placing on Desktop
Enter the URL of the page where you want the message to appear.
Your site will open in a new browser tab.
Use point-and-click to select the element where the message should be placed.
Choose one of the following options:
Before element
After element
Replace element
Once selected, return to Creative Builder. Your message placement will be reflected there.
Placing on Mobile
After entering the page URL, a QR code will appear.
Scan the QR code with your phone to open the mobile version of your website.
Accept any cookie banners if prompted. This ensures the placement selector tool appears.
Use your phone to select the element where you'd like the message to show.
Confirm the position, and the changes will sync back to Creative Builder.
Note: The mobile placement process is designed to be quick and intuitive. No code or dev tools required.
Want different placements for desktop and mobile?
By default, Triptease syncs the same placement across devices. But if you'd like to position your message differently on desktop and mobile:
Open the Settings tab in Creative Builder.
Toggle Device Sync off.
You can now set independent placements for each device.
Final Steps
Adjust content sizing if needed (especially for mobile responsiveness).
Save and preview the message on both devices.
Set your targeting rules.
Save and publish your campaign.
