We've made creating messages in different languages even simpler. We no longer use browser language targeting to show your message in different languages. Instead messages can be automatically translated into the appropriate language to match the different language versions of your website.
A couple of things to note:
You should create the original version of your message in English. You can then select another language to automatically translate it into.
You should only create translated versions of your messages if your website is available in different languages - and those messages will have to match the language variants of your website or they won't appear.
Ready to create a translated message? Follow these steps:
Start by creating the English version of your message.
Once you're happy with the first version, select Add translation
Next, choose the language you'd like to add from the list.
The list includes the most common languages we see across the hotels we track. See the full list of 31 supported languages.
Once you've selected the language you want to add, you can translate it automatically using Google's auto translation service. To do this press Translate. Please note that this translation is not guaranteed to be perfect but it can definitely serve as a helpful starting point. Once the automatic translation is ready, it will appear in the Message Builder in the dedicated language tab. Please double check the translation to make sure you’re happy with the translation before setting it live.
Once you've configured your translations, you can save your message as usual, and your dedicated language based messages will be displayed to the relevant visitors.
