How Do I View Reporting for New and Classic Messages

Learn to access and compare New (v2) and Classic (v1) Messages reporting, navigate dashboards, and track campaign results.

Updated this week

Quick Summary

Consolidated reporting for both New and Classic Messages can now be found in the Campaign Reporting dashboard, accessible via the Campaign Manager.

New Messages and Classic Messages work slightly differently, so results aren't reported in exactly the same way for both.

Summary

  • New Messages are always part of a campaign. In the Reporting Dashboard, you can view and compare the overall performance of each campaign-for example, seeing how your summer sale performed against your Black Friday promotion-or view each message individually.

  • The concept of campaigns does not exist in Classic Messages, so each Classic message is always shown individually in the new reporting.

  • Advanced filters let you review message performance in different ways.

  • The Classic Messages dashboard remains available, but does not include any data for New Messages.

  • Attribution for Classic Messages has been updated in the new Campaign Reporting Dashboard to align with its more advanced features. The data shown in the Classic Messages dashboard and the new dashboard may be different.

More advanced cross-channel reporting will be available soon, making it even easier to see the influence different Triptease marketing channels have on your guests.

When to use this guide

Use this guide if you:

  • Are starting to use New Messages alongside your existing messages

  • Want an easy way to see performance data for both types of messages

  • Want to confirm where how new reporting works before recreating or pausing Classic messages

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Accessing the Campaign Reporting Dashboard

Navigate to the Campaign Manager using one of these options:

  • In the Classic Messages page, click the "Try it now” button, OR;

  • On the main platform Dashboard choose "Create a campaign" or "Create onsite messages" from the "Take control and drive valuable bookings with Triptease campaigns!" banner, OR;

  • Use the Campaigns link from the new navigation bar on the left-hand side (if available).

Then select the "Reporting dashboard" button.

2. Filter for Message performance

  • In the top menu bar in the reporting dashboard, select the message status you want to review

  • Then choose Messages in the Channel filter. Include the Multiple option if you want to see details of bookings that have been influenced by multiple message interactions.

  • Finally, select the date range you're interested in.

3. Choose your Grouping

  • The default view is grouped by Campaign.

  • This shows the overall performance of each New Messages campaign, which may contain multiple messages.

  • Each individual Classic Message is shown as a separate campaign.

  • Booking influenced by more than one campaign are shown on the Multiple Campaigns line

Select Messages grouping to show the performance of every New and Classic message.

  • Or select Hotels grouping to see performance by hotel website

Tip: The Hotel view is useful to see exactly what performance messages are driving for each hotel. The new reporting tracks message influence all the way to a booking - even if it's at another hotel in your group. So even if your campaign is set up for a specific hotel, it might influence more bookings than that hotel received.

FAQs

Q: Can I merge reports from both dashboards?

A: Not right now—reporting is kept separate to avoid confusion caused by more sophisticated attribution in the new version.

Q: Do I need to recreate my old messages in New Messages?

A: You can recreate them if you’d like, but they aren’t automatically moved. Be sure to pause any Classic Messages you've re-published in New Messages to avoid overlapping campaigns.
