If you want to display a specific message on a particular page of your website (i.e. a dining offer on your restaurant page) that is easy to set up in the Message Manager.
All you need to do is click on Create message and then set the relevant Behaviour.
Under Which pages should it display on, you can select which hotels (all or some) and the following options:
Group marketing pages (message will appear on your hotel homepage that is not associated to a specific hotel)
Hotel marketing pages (message will appear on all of yours selected hotel marketing pages that are not the booking engine)
Rooms and rates pages (message will appear on the booking engine page only)
Booking confirmation page (will appear on your booking confirmation page only)
All pages (of your website)
All pages except... (a specific page or pages)
Selected pages including (of your website e.g. f&b pages)
Note: If you want your message to appear on all pages, select Group marketing pages and Hotel marketing pages.
If you select Selected pages except... or Selected pages including you'll then need to enter the full URL or URLs of the page(s) in question. For example http://www.yourhotel.com/spa
Make sure you add the full URL (including the http://) or alternatively select URL contains from the dropdown to simply add a word from within the URL instead. You can add as many URLs as you like by clicking + Add another URL.
We’ve found that clients who have been running messages with URL targeting are seeing good results - particularly when the promotion or incentive relates to the content of the page that the customer is viewing. Because of this we’re now encouraging hotels to make URL targeting a focus point of their On-site Messages strategy. This level of focused targeting produces great results.
