Overview
Location targeting lets you control which guests see a message based on the country they are browsing from. You can choose to include specific locations — so only guests from those countries see the message — or exclude locations, so the message shows to everyone except guests from those countries. Location targeting is set per message, so different messages within the same campaign can have different location rules.
How to set up location targeting
In the Triptease Platform, go to Campaigns in the side menu and under New campaign, click Personalize your guest experience.
Select your template from the Template library
In the targeting side panel, select the Guest targeting tab.
Expand the Location section.
Choose whether to Include locations or Exclude locations using the toggle.
Click the country dropdown and select one or more countries to apply.
Click Apply targeting to save your changes.
Common questions
Q: What is the difference between Include and Exclude locations? A: Include means the message will only show to guests browsing from the countries you select. Exclude means the message will show to everyone except guests from the countries you select. Use exclude when it is easier to define who should not see a message than who should.
Q: Can different messages in the same campaign target different locations? A: Yes. Location targeting is set per message, so you can show one message to guests from a specific country and a different message to everyone else, all within the same campaign.
Q: Can I target regions or cities, or only countries? A: Location targeting is currently available at country level only.
