What this article covers
This article shares what worked for hotels that set up a Black Friday website message campaign in 2025, and message ideas with ready-to-use prompts you can build with Triptease Agent.
What worked for hotels in 2025
Hotels that ran a Black Friday message campaign saw a much bigger jump in website revenue than hotels that didn’t.
| Black Friday week | The week after (including Cyber Monday) |
Hotels with a Black Friday message campaign | +53% | +17% |
Hotels without one | +4% | +7% |
Each figure compares that week’s total website revenue for Triptease hotels with and without a message campaign against an average week earlier in November (November 3 to 23, 2025).
To see which habits made the biggest difference, we looked at hotels that ran a Black Friday or Cyber message campaign. This time we measured bookings rather than revenue: the figures show how much the typical hotel’s bookings grew over the Black Friday period, compared with the same weekdays four weeks earlier.
What they did | Growth in bookings | Compared with |
Kept their campaign running into the week after Cyber Monday | +33% | +5% when it stopped by November 29 |
Used a countdown timer | +34% | +12% without |
Led with urgency, like “ends soon” | +27% | +13% when the copy led with the discount, even though discount-led copy got more clicks |
⏱️ Timing mattered too. Messages shown straight away were clicked by 8.3% of visitors, compared with 5.7% when they appeared after 3 seconds or more.
How to build a Black Friday message with Triptease Agent
Open Triptease Agent from the Triptease platform navigation.
Copy one of the prompts below and replace the text in [square brackets] with your own details.
Review the desktop and mobile previews, and ask the Agent for any changes to the layout, copy, colors or images.
When you're happy, ask the Agent to publish the message, or publish it yourself in Campaign Manager.
Any urgency in your copy, such as "ends soon" or a countdown, should match your offer's real end date.
1. Your offer page, on your homepage
Bring an offer that already lives on your website to the place most guests land. The Agent can read any public page, or you can upload the offer as a PDF or Markdown file.
"Here's our Black Friday offer page: [URL]. Create an on-brand homepage message using the real offer details, and link the button to [booking link]."
2. A different offer for each guest segment
Couples and families rarely want the same deal, so show each guest segment the offer that suits them.
"Find my top two guest segments at [hotel]. Create a Black Friday message for each, with [offer for segment one] and [offer for segment two], targeted so each guest only sees theirs."
3. Book now, stay later
Your sale runs in November, but the stay can be months away. Target guests who are searching for those check-in dates.
"Create a Black Friday message for guests searching for stays during [spring break or another period]. Offer [discount] and link to [booking link]."
4. Early access sign-up
Collect email addresses before the sale starts, so you can tell guests the moment it opens.
"Create an email capture message for [hotel] offering early access to our Black Friday sale, with an email field and a sign-up button."
5. Last chance for Cyber Monday
A final reminder as your offer closes. Only use this if your offer really ends then.
"Duplicate our Black Friday message and update it for Cyber Monday, with 'Last chance' copy ending [date]. Schedule it for [start date] to [end date]."
Tips for better results
Attach your own hotel photos, or a screenshot of your seasonal color palette, for the Agent to work from.
Share the URL of the page where the message will sit, so you can preview it on your own website.
If the first draft isn't right, keep asking. You can change the layout, copy, colors or images in the same conversation.
Common questions
Q: Do I need Triptease Messages to use these examples?
A: During your free trial, which runs until November 30, 2026, you can create and preview messages with Triptease Agent even if you don’t use Triptease Messages. To publish them, you’ll need a Triptease Messages subscription. Speak to your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
Q: Will the Agent publish a message without asking me?
A: No. The Agent always checks with you before anything goes live. You can approve it in the conversation or publish the message yourself in Campaign Manager.
Q: Can I schedule my Black Friday message to start and stop automatically?
A: Yes. Tell the Agent the start and end dates for your message and it will set the schedule for you.
Q: Can I promote stays that are months after Black Friday?
A: Yes. Ask the Agent to target guests searching for specific check-in dates, such as spring break, so your sale reaches people planning those stays.
Q: Does the Agent create a mobile version of my message?
A: Yes. The Agent builds desktop and mobile versions and shows you both previews before you publish.
