How to use the Campaign Reporting dashboard

What this article covers

This article explains how to use the unified Campaign Reporting dashboard in Triptease to view cross-channel performance across Messages, Metasearch (via Triptease Metasearch), Paid Search, and Retargeting, including how to choose an attribution model and understand the data for license and commission-based subscriptions.

Overview

The Campaign Reporting dashboard brings together performance data from multiple active Triptease channels into a single view.

The dashboard uses de-duplicated cross-channel attribution models, so you can see a more accurate picture of what is driving direct bookings rather than counting the same booking multiple times across channels.

How to use the Campaign Reporting dashboard

  1. Log in to the Triptease platform and select Reporting in the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. The dashboard loads with multiple active Triptease channels displayed in one view: Messages, Metasearch, Paid Search, and Retargeting.

  3. Select your preferred attribution model from the options at the top of the dashboard (see the attribution model descriptions below).

  4. Review the Performance table for booking and revenue data across all channels.

  5. If your hotel is on a license subscription, review the Spend and Efficiency table for additional spend and return metrics available for license channels.

Choosing an attribution model

The dashboard offers three attribution models. Each one distributes booking credit differently, so the booking numbers you see will vary depending on which model is selected.

  • Weighted (default): distributes booking credit proportionally across every Triptease channel and touchpoint in the guest's booking journey. This gives the most balanced view of how channels work together.

  • Last Click: attributes 100% of booking credit to the final Triptease touchpoint before the guest completed their booking.

  • Single Channel: shows the total bookings influenced by each channel regardless of what other channels were involved. This is the closest to the numbers you would have seen in the legacy per-channel reporting pages, and is a useful starting point if you are building familiarity with the new dashboard.

Understanding the Performance table and Spend and Efficiency table

The Performance table is available for all customers and shows booking and revenue data for all channels, including those on a commission-based CPA (cost-per-acquisition) subscription.

The Spend and Efficiency table provides additional metrics, including spend and return on investment data, and is available for channels on a license subscription. If your hotel has a mix of license and CPA channels, your CPA channels appear in the Performance table only.

What is not included yet

Email campaign reporting is not included in the Campaign Reporting dashboard at this stage. If you run Email campaigns, continue to use the separate Email reporting page for those results.

Common questions

Q: Why do my booking numbers look different from the old reporting pages?
A: The new attribution models distribute booking credit across channels rather than counting bookings independently for each channel, which gives a more accurate picture of cross-channel performance. If you want numbers that are closest to what you saw before, select the Single Channel attribution model while you get familiar with the new dashboard.

Q: My hotel has some properties on PPX and some on license. What will I see?
A: All your channels will appear in the Performance table. Channels on a license subscription will also have additional data in the Spend and Efficiency table, but CPA channels will not appear there.

Q: Where do I find the Campaign Reporting dashboard?
A: Select the Reporting link in the left-hand navigation bar inside the Triptease platform. The unified dashboard loads automatically showing all your active channels.

Q: What is the difference between the Weighted and Last Click attribution models?
A: Weighted distributes booking credit proportionally across every channel and touchpoint a guest interacted with before booking. Last Click gives 100% of the credit to the single final Triptease touchpoint before the booking was completed.

Q: Is Email included in the Campaign Reporting dashboard?
A: Not yet. Email campaign reporting is not part of the unified Campaign Reporting dashboard at this stage. Use the separate Email reporting page for your Email campaign results.

Q: Who can access the Campaign Reporting dashboard?
A: The dashboard is available to all Triptease customers, whether you are on a license or a CPA subscription.
