Overview
To use Triptease products on your SynXis booking engine, the Triptease tracking script must be installed. There are two options:
Install it directly via SynXis BE Designer (recommended if you have access), or;
Add it to your existing Google Tag Manager (GTM) container if your SynXis booking engine loads one.
Option 1 — Add the script via SynXis BE Designer (recommended)
If you have access to SynXis BE Designer, this is usually the simplest way.
Log in to SynXis BE Designer with your SynXis credentials.
In the top navigation, go to Pages → General → Tracking Hooks. You will see fields that let you inject code into different parts of the booking flow (the
<head>, Rooms & Rates, Checkout, Confirmation, etc.).Copy your Triptease script from the Triptease platform: Settings → Group settings → Integration scripts.
Paste the Triptease script into the Head (global) field — this loads Triptease on all pages of the booking engine.
Save and publish the changes in SynXis.
Email customersupport@triptease.com to verify installation.
Option 2 — Add the script via Google Tag Manager
If your SynXis booking engine already loads a Google Tag Manager (GTM) container, you can add the Triptease script through GTM instead. If you don't have a GTM container, create one first — see How to Create a Google Tag Manager (GTM) Container.
Copy your Triptease script from the Triptease platform: Settings → Group settings → Integration scripts.
In GTM, create a New Tag:
Tag type: Custom HTML
HTML content: your Triptease script
Set the trigger to All Pages, or a more specific trigger that covers all booking engine URLs if your GTM setup separates website and booking engine.
Save the tag and Publish the container.
Check the install is working using the Test Your Integration tool in the Triptease platform (Settings → Group settings → Integration scripts → Test Your Integration) — paste in your URL and run the test. Common questions
Q: Which option should I use?
A: Option 1 (BE Designer) is the default recommendation because it's direct and doesn't depend on a separate GTM setup. Use Option 2 only if you already have a GTM container loaded on your SynXis booking engine or prefer to manage all scripts through GTM.
Q: I don't have access to SynXis BE Designer. What do I do?
A: Either use Option 2 (GTM), or contact your SynXis account team to request BE Designer access. For alternative guidance, email customersupport@triptease.com.
Q: How do I confirm the script is working?
A: The quickest way is to use the Test Your Integration tool in the Triptease platform. Go to Settings → Group settings → Integration scripts and use the Test Your Integration section to enter your URL and run the test.
